She didn’t giggle or blush when she saw him. She didn’t write his name all over pieces of paper. She simply lived with his face in her heart all the time. A kind of sweet, hurtful ache.

The one thing I hate the most is saying goodbye. It’s never been easy for me. I mean, how do you approach the concept of goodbye? Goodbyes are all different. Some are for a day, some are for a month. But others are forever. And the concept of forever is hard to accept. It’s like hey, I’m never going to see you again, goodbye. It doesn’t feel complete. But I think that’s what goodbyes are. They’re incomplete and you honestly don’t know how long the goodbye will last. It’s a part of life.

There's no reason to miss this one chance, this perfect moment. Just let me fall.

 Every once in a while, something will remind me of you, something nice. And then I’ll remember all the times we’ve shared and think how much I’d like to be with you again. 

“Mom, listen, I haven’t been together with topanga for 22 years, but we have been together for 16. That’s a lot longer than most couples have been together. All I understood was that she was the girl I sat up every night thinking about, and when I’m with her, I feel happy to be alive. Like I can do anything. Even talk to you like this. So that’s, that’s what i think is love, mom.. When I’m better because she’s here.”

I, like being on my own. I think relationships are messy and people’s feelings get hurt. Who needs it? We’re young, we live in one of the most beautiful cities in the world; might as well have fun while we can and, save the serious stuff for later.

Men hate to cry, they rarely ever do. But, when a man cries over you, you know he loves you. Men only cry when they lost something or when they are afraid of losing something that they love as much or more than themselves.

When a person cannot answer directly to your question, either the answer is too painful for you to know, or too hard for them to admit. 

Maybe the reason I’m not over you yet is because I’m not supposed to be. Maybe the reason that I can’t find someone else for me is because there isn’t anyone.

The memories I have of us are the ones I’ll forever keep in my heart. I just wish you were here to make new memories with me, but I guess that’s too much to ask for. 

She thought about her life and how lost she’d felt for most of it. She thought about the way that all truths she’d been taught to consider valuable invariably conflicted with the world as it was actually lived. How could a person be so utterly lost, yet remain living? 

The most memorable people in your life will be the ones who loved you when you weren’t very lovable.

Truth: I'm scared. I'm terrified to get too close to you because I don't want to get my heart broken. I'm afraid that if we take this further I'm just going to get hurt and to be honest, I don't think I could take that.
